Fair or Foul

So here’s what happened. In 2012 I lost 78 pounds. In 2013 a lot of bad emotional things happened and I stopped being healthy and gained a lot back. Now, in the beginning of 2014 I’m eating healthier and joined a gym, but I’m facing a “too little too late” situation. I have to get my gallbladder out. So healthy eating is a necessity to prevent attacks before surgery. Hence the shiitake pad thai. For dessert, strawberries. Here’s to getting back on track!

I was doing really well with this new diet of mine until this week. Today my sister flew to Africa for the Peace Corps and now I’m eating comfort food.

My new norm starting tomorrow: no sugary foods, no pop, no fast food, less coffee drinks, more herbal tea. Fruits, veggies and protein. And running and hiking and maybe biking. For the next two months at least.

Don’t have a specific “thing” like yoga or weight lifting.

I eat vegetables hard. But I also eat junk food kinda hard sometimes.

What matters is that we  are trying.
